Free vs paid
Last updated: 7 July 2026
Kaasa has one free plan and one paid upgrade — a one-time $30 payment, not a subscription. Pay once, keep everything.
What’s free
- Your full tracker setup — target price, deposit percentage, grants, buy date.
- The complete dashboard: deposit needed, savings gap, progress, and monthly target, always up to date.
- Updating your total savings whenever it changes.
- The 10-step milestone checklist (read-only).
The free plan is genuinely useful on its own — if all you want is to see the whole climb and track your total, you never have to pay.
What $30 unlocks
- Editing your plan — change your target price, deposit percentage, grants estimate, buy date, and state as life changes.
- The savings log — individual deposits and withdrawals with sources and dates, backdating, and deleting entries. See Tracking your savings.
- Milestone tracking — set each step’s status and attach your own notes.
- Partner sharing — invite your partner to one shared tracker. See Partner sharing. Your linked partner gets the paid features on the shared tracker too — one payment covers you both.
- Notification preferences — control in-app nudges.
Common questions
Is it really one-time?
Yes. $30 once. No renewal, no monthly fee.
Do we both need to pay?
No. One upgraded account can invite a partner, and the partner shares the paid features on that tracker.
What happens to my data if I never upgrade?
Nothing — your tracker, dashboard, and milestone checklist keep working on the free plan indefinitely.
How do I upgrade?
Use the Unlock button in the app. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
